I took the opportunity to familiarise myself with the DaVinci Resolve panel. I have been training in the grading room but haven’t had a chance to go alone. I was able to successfully launch and import stock footage to grade in the software, I loaded a variety of clips and simply played around with the desk to better my understanding. I am confident using the software with mouse and keyboard but can already see the benefits of using the desk which really speeds up the process. There is still a lot to investigate, key framing is particular is something I want to explore. I was able to test the ‘editshare’ workflow to send the exported project from the windows machine to a mac so I could copy it across to my hard drive successfully. Below are a few tests grades I created whilst testing the dedicated panel.
