I took the opportunity to sit in and see how Jordan was coming along with the sound scape designs. Dan has been in conversation concerning this, with strong influences from Eraserhead (1997). Jordan explained the scenario and I was extremely happy with what I heard, I particularly enjoyed how it dabbled around the realms of surrealism (as apparent in Eraserhead), but didn’t cross that line as it has to remain a realistic depiction of the world the sisters inhabit.
I suggested more ‘footsteps’ as the creature disappears, with a slight pause/delay as it scans the area for increased tension. Other than that I was extremely happy, hearing that it really helps the world come alive and gets me thinking more about how the visuals can match the sound.
